Everyone loves a good war on Twitter between celebrities; if nothing, it gives us a lot of material for speculation about plenty of things. Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were one thing, but now comes the biggest battle of them all- Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, and Warren Buffett, the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway over cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrency has always sparked animated discussion. While some people consider it to be the next greatest thing since sliced bread, so much so that they say it will become a global currency, others think that it’s bubble will soon burst, and it will be in the same boat Orkut is in.
It probably began innocently enough, when Musk,in a very Willy Wonka fashion, tweeted “What do you look for in candy?” and immediately followed it up by saying “Cryptocandy.” Now, Buffett is against the concept of cryptocurrencies, and he compared it to rat poison, as reported by CNBC. But Musk is very encouraging of Blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, and his aforementioned tweet may also hint at him starting his own cryptocurrency. However, this could simply be a dig at Buffett too.
